I've pushed us to this. I realize that now. But I'm not sure I ever
had a choice--not once I found myself falling in love with her.
I've had nightmares about this more times than I care to
remember. The reality of it is as bad as I'd imagined. And yet
even through the despair, I find myself welcoming this moment.
There is an odd sort of relief in knowing the world is about to
come to an end.
